"KazAzot" JSC is the only producer of ammonia and ammonium nitrate in Kazakhstan, fully meeting the country’s demand for nitrogen mineral fertilizers. Since its establishment, the company has focused its efforts on fertilizer production, defining this area as a strategic priority for its development. The company’s main objective is to supply the market with high-quality fertilizers at affordable prices while maintaining stable production operations. The company’s products are sold both domestically and internationally. Granulated ammonium nitrate and liquid ammonia are transported by rail and sea. The plant’s territory includes storage facilities for ammonia, nitric acid, chemical reagents, and fuels and lubricants, as well as a finished products warehouse with a capacity of 10,000 tons. In addition, the enterprise operates its own fleet of 100 railway tank cars with a total capacity of 4,000 tons. For ammonia production, KazAzot uses natural gas from its own “Shagyrly-Shomyshy” field. Energy resources such as electricity, water, and other materials are partially supplied by МAEK-Kazatomprom LLP, located in close proximity to the plant, while 85% of the electricity is generated by the company’s own gas-piston power station. The domestic market accounts for approximately 60% of total product supplies, while the remaining volume is exported to CIS countries and far-abroad markets, including Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, the United States, and others. Due to the global growth of the agricultural sector, the company plans to expand its sales markets in the future.
