Sterilization method

Ethylene Oxide (EO).

Shelf life

3 years from the date of sterilization, provided that the specified transportation and storage conditions are maintained.

The products are sterile, braided, synthetic, absorbable surgical sutures made from a copolymer of Polyglycolide 910 (90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide), coated with a copolymer of glycolide and L-lactide containing calcium stearate. The sutures are dyed violet to improve visibility in the wound. They feature a specially designed atraumatic surface and high reliability.

The sutures retain 75% of their initial tensile strength in vivo after 2 weeks, 50% after 3 weeks, and 25% after 4 weeks. They are completely absorbed within 56–70 days. The products are supplied in sterile packaging. The needles are manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
