Description
Slabs and billets are produced at the continuous steel casting facilities (CML). The caster in operation features a radial, segment-type design with a straight mold. The design capacity of the slab casters is 5.2 million tons per year of various aluminum-deoxidized steel grades, including low-carbon, peritectic, structural, and high-carbon steels.
The design capacity of the long-product casting unit is > 1.2 million tons per year, producing medium-carbon and high-carbon silicon-deoxidized steel grades.
