Description
Rapeseed is the seed of the rapeseed plant, which belongs to oilseed crops and is mainly used for producing vegetable oil (rapeseed or canola oil). It contains fats, proteins, and a small amount of fiber, but is rarely consumed raw due to natural compounds (such as erucic acid), so it is usually used in processed oil form for food. Rapeseed oil is considered safer and is widely used in cooking thanks to its neutral taste and good balance of fatty acids.
